Big Band, Monash

The Monash Big Band is a 20 piece student-run band comprised of students from a wide range of courses, who share a passion for playing jazz. We play everything from traditional big band hits, through to Latin and funk. Monash Big Band plays regularly at jazz venues throughout Melbourne including Uptown Jazz Cafe and Bird's Basement, as well as at university balls.

Rehearsals are held on Monday evenings, and auditions are in the first week of semester and are open to all students. Non-playing members are welcome, and will receive news about upcoming gigs and are invited to pizza nights and open rehearsals.
