The Monash Student Association and the Clubs & Societies Division is committed to creating safe events for Monash students. To support this we have partnered with the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion team at Monash to deliver Eliminating Gender Based Violence Together (EGBVT). This workshop is a crucial tool designed to equip student leaders and students with the knowledge and skills to foster respectful relationships and promote gender equality.
About the EGBVT Workshop
EGBVT is a peer-facilitated workshop that provides foundational knowledge on gender-based violence, helping students to:
- recognise harmful behaviour
- safely intervene as an active bystander
- support those affected by gender-based violence
If your club is considering running an off-campus event it is a mandatory requirement for the EGBVT workshop to be completed by event leaders. The leaders will also need to have completed the Call It Out online module prior to registering for this workshop.
