C&S Council OGM and By-Election - 13/03/2024

The Ordinary General Meeting 01/24 of the Clubs & Societies Council has been called for 1.00pm on Wednesday 13 March 2024.  The meeting will be held in the Campus Cinema, Building 10, Campus Centre, Clayton Campus and will be held in-person only with no Zoom attendance available. 

Notice of OGM 01/24

The primary business of the meeting is to receive the 2024 President and Treasurer reports and to coduct by-elections for: 
- the office of C&S Vice-President
- the office of C&S General Representative (1 position); and 
- possible election for the office of 1 additional General Representative. 

The meeting's agenda will be advised in due course.  Any club President wishing to add items to the agenda should forward the details to the C&S Secretary, secretary@monashclubs.org, no later than 3.00pm, Thursday 7 March 2024.

Office Bearer Nomination Form 
To view and complete the Office Bearer Nomination Form please click here.  Nominees are welcome to consider submitting a policy document of up to 500 words in length to support their nomination, noting that this submission is optional. 

All nominations are due on or before 3.00pm, Thursday 7 March 2024.

Attendance Registration

Proxy Appointment and Apologies 
Club Presidents may opt to appoint a valid proxy to attend the C&S OGM with this nomination being any Ordinary member (Clayton student) of the club.  To appoint a proxy please click on this link: Proxy Appointment Form noting that all proxy nominations must be received no later than 1.00pm, Sunday 10 March 2024 in order to be considered. 

If no-one from the club is able to attend the meeting please submit a Council Apology in a timely manner before the meeting. 

Important Things to Note
This meeting is expected to go for atleast 1 hour and 30 minutes, if not longer.  The person attending on behalf of the club (President or valid Proxy) should be available between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. 

To ensure the meeting begins as close to the scheduled start time as possible, punctual attendance is required.  Registration will begin at 12.30pm. 

Failure by a club to be represented at a General Meeting is misconduct under §7.1.1 (v) of the C&S Constitution.
