Aims & Objectives

The Monash University Sri Lankan Cultural Club, MUSLCC, is one of the largest student societies at Monash University, and serves as one of the largest cultural clubs in Victoria. Boasting over 500 members each year, the club thrives on it's ability to engage it's student audience. The club holds several cultural, social, and charity events each year, each attracting attendance levels in the several hundreds, occasionally in the thousands.
The Club, whilst named the Sri Lankan Cultural Club, attracts a wide variety of students from a plethora of different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Cultural clubs, such as our own, truly exhibit the cultural melting pot that has been brought up by this new generation, which is why you will find substantial amounts of students from Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Chinese, Vietnamese, and European backgrounds on our member list, or at any of our club events.
The club's aims and objectives are that of retaining aspects of Sri Lankan, and in general, subcontinental, culture in our generation, whilst providing for a safe and fun avenue for students to socialize. This is done through regular meetings, events, and our online presence.
The community which we have formed is one which is highly engaged in our activities, and very interested in what we are able to offer them in terms of value, hence it forms for an ideal platform for third party sponsors to gain substantial exposure.
